After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1997, Patrick worked in public health and social service for several years before returning to the UofA for law school. He then worked for Lewis and Roca for several years doing defense work before opening his own practice in 2011. He now focuses on representing insureds in short- and long-term disability ERISA claims, insurance bad faith claims, and long-term care claims. Since 2011, Patrick has represented clients against some of the biggest (and baddest) insurance carriers and administrators in the country. He has recovered millions of dollars on his clients’ behalf. Besides getting his clients the justice they deserve, his favorite part of his cases is figuring out the medical minutiae and then unravelling the insurance company’s nonsense theories. Patrick is highly respected in the disability and bad faith fields, and is often asked to co-counsel cases with other attorneys who need more horsepower on their side. Patrick lives in Tucson. Outside the practice of law, he can often be found at UofA basketball games cheering (sometimes rather exuberantly) for the ‘Cats.
